After witnessing first-hand the challenges and risks healthcare organizations face with managing vendors and PHI, we created ConfidentVMS to remove the often crippling inefficiencies present between covered entities and their business associates. Our mission is to automate and streamline interactions, increase compliance and reduce risk so that both parties can focus on delivering quality healthcare.
Leadership

Jonathan Russell – CEO. Jon is a seasoned entrepreneur and solutions developer with over 20 years of senior executive experience in leading technology-based and SaaS businesses serving the healthcare industry, from startup through high-growth and later stage strategic acquisition and investment. His passion is in solving complex healthcare workflow issues by helping business leaders on both sides, covered entities and business associates, streamline their daily operations so their teams can work more efficiently and effectively and feel less stress.

John Morris – Vice President of Operations – Mr. Morris was the President and CEO of Technology 2020, a venture development organization focused on the development of entrepreneurs and start-ups in the Tennessee Valley Corridor. He has worked with technology businesses for 25 years. Holding degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mr. Morris has been instrumental in forming five technology commercialization ventures, utilizing technology from five different disciplines. He began his career in engineering design with Tennessee Valley Authority at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Later, he moved to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and worked in artificial intelligence and expert systems research.
Mr. Morris’s first small business experience was with Consultec Scientific, Inc., a Knoxville based startup focused on technology transfer and commercialization. Eventually becoming President and CEO, he led the effort to start three companies from Consultec. One of the companies, NetLearning, Inc., is an Internet-based e-Learning company focused on the healthcare market. Under his leadership as President and CEO, NetLearning grew from an idea to serving 500 hospitals nationwide in seven years. Thomson Corporation acquired it in 2004. Mr. Morris also served as President and CEO of Sunlight Direct, an alternative energy startup with licensed technology from Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Ben Colgrove – Vice President of Business Development – Ben is an R&D and Technical Executive in Energy, Manufacturing, and Government industries. He offers strategic leadership in Commercialization, New Venture Formation, R&D Operations/Testing, Entrepreneurship, and Project Management. Ben has served in multiple innovative roles in startups and established R&D businesses across multiple industries, academia, and government agencies such as the Dept. of Energy, Dept. of Homeland Security, NASA, and the US Navy. He began his career directing at-sea operations of U.S. Navy nuclear submarines.

Curtis Jones – Curtis is an experienced senior executive specializing in leading technology companies in the healthcare sector. With over 20 years experience in healthcare and information technology, he enjoys solving healthcare information problems through technology implementation and integration, and by creating software solutions that improve businesses processes and healthcare delivery.
